Согласно последним доступным данным, в 2016 году в Уганде насчитывалось примерно 731 000 взрослых, которые употребляли традиционные бездымные табачные изделия, что составляло 3,7% взрослого населения. При этом распространённость их употребления среди мужчин была выше — 4,6%, по сравнению с 2,9% среди женщин. О ежедневном употреблении сообщали 2,8% взрослых в целом, включая 3,3% мужчин и 2,4% женщин. С точки зрения регулирования традиционные бездымные табачные изделия запрещены в Уганде и регулируются как табачная продукция, поэтому их продажа является незаконной, а также действует запрет на все виды рекламы.
