В Турции курение разрешено при соблюдении определённых нормативных мер. Согласно этим правилам, продажа сигарет является легальной, однако их приобретение через торговые автоматы или онлайн запрещено. Импорт сигарет для торговли разрешён при наличии соответствующей лицензии. К другим ограничениям относятся обязательные предупреждения о вреде для здоровья на упаковке, а также минимальный возраст 18 лет для покупки сигарет. Кроме того, существуют правовые ограничения на курение в общественных местах, а реклама сигарет запрещена. Сигареты облагаются совокупным налогом в размере 81 %. По данным на 2024 год, в Турции насчитывается примерно 21,1 миллиона человек, которые курят, а общий уровень распространённости курения среди взрослых составляет 30,8 %. Этот показатель значительно выше среди мужчин (42,1 %), чем среди женщин (19,7 %).
