На Сейшельских Островах на 2024 год распространённость курения табака среди взрослых в возрасте 15 лет и старше оценивалась в 18,8%, при этом среди мужчин этот показатель составлял 30,2%, а среди женщин — 4,2%. В 2020 году общая распространённость курения составляла 20,1%, среди мужчин — 33,9%, среди женщин — 5,7%. Общее количество людей, которые курят, в 2024 году составило примерно 19 000 человек, тогда как в 2021 году их насчитывалось 14 797. Для справки: в 2013 году ежедневное курение табака среди взрослых фиксировалось на уровне 16,6%, при этом у мужчин этот показатель составлял 28,4%, а у женщин — 5,2%. Данные о смертности, связанной с курением, за 2021 год показывают, что 10,53% всех случаев смерти в стране были обусловлены курением, причём среди мужчин этот процент был выше (15,75%), чем среди женщин (3,76%), что в абсолютных цифрах соответствует 91 смерти (77 среди мужчин и 14 среди женщин). Эти статистические данные подчёркивают сохраняющуюся проблему общественного здравоохранения, связанную с употреблением табака на Сейшельских Островах, и указывают на острую необходимость эффективных мер и политики в области здравоохранения для снижения вреда от табака в стране.
