Na Seszelach szacuje się, że w 2022 roku rozpowszechnienie palenia tytoniu wśród osób dorosłych w wieku 15 lat i starszych wynosiło 20,7%, przy czym wśród mężczyzn odsetek ten stanowił 34,6%, a wśród kobiet 5,6%. W 2020 roku ogólna częstość palenia wynosiła 20,1%, z 33,9% wśród mężczyzn i 5,7% wśród kobiet. Bezpośrednia liczba osób palących w 2022 roku wyniosła około 15 421, podczas gdy w 2021 roku było to 14 797 palaczy. Częstość codziennego palenia wśród dorosłych w 2013 roku odnotowano na poziomie 16,6% – 28,4% wśród mężczyzn i 5,2% wśród kobiet. Dane dotyczące zgonów związanych z paleniem z 2021 roku wskazują, że 10,53% wszystkich zgonów w kraju można było przypisać paleniu tytoniu, przy wyższym odsetku wśród mężczyzn (15,75%) niż wśród kobiet (3,76%).
