В Сальвадоре уровень распространённости курения табака среди людей в возрасте 15 лет и старше демонстрирует заметные тенденции за последние годы. По данным на 2024 год, распространённость курения табака составила 7,7%, при этом отмечается значительная разница между мужчинами и женщинами: 14,1% мужчин и 2,2% женщин сообщили, что сейчас курят. Это свидетельствует о небольшом увеличении по сравнению с 2020 годом, когда общий показатель составлял 7,4%, при доле 14,3% среди мужчин и 1,8% среди женщин. Общее число людей, которые курят, в 2024 году оценивалось примерно в 361 000, что больше показателя 343 776 человек, зафиксированного в 2020 году.
