Электронные сигареты легальны на Мальте. Реклама устройств для вейпинга регулируется, и потребителям разрешено приобретать их онлайн. Перед выходом на рынок эти изделия подлежат обязательному уведомлению, должны использовать упаковку, защищённую от детей, быть защищены от вскрытия и содержать предупреждения о вреде для здоровья. Продажа разрешена только гражданам старше 18 лет. На ассортимент вкусовых добавок ограничений нет, но содержание никотина не должно превышать 20 мг/мл, а объём резервуаров также регулируется. Использование электронных сигарет ограничено в общественных местах. По данным за 2023 год, примерно 11 300 человек на Мальте использовали электронные сигареты на тот момент; около 3% взрослого населения использовали их на данный момент, в то время как 1,6% делали это ежедневно. По состоянию на 2017 год, 12% взрослых заявили, что пробовали вейпинг.
