Согласно данным за 2018 год, в Лесото отмечается значительная разница в употреблении традиционных некурительных табачных изделий (ПНТ) между женщинами и мужчинами. Среди взрослых распространённость текущего потребления составила 7,5% среди женщин и лишь 0,7% среди мужчин. Традиционные некурительные табачные изделия разрешены в Лесото и регулируются как табачная продукция. Использование, продажа и онлайн-покупка этих продуктов являются законными. Требования о нанесении предупреждений о вреде для здоровья на упаковку отсутствуют, также не установлен минимальный возраст для продажи некурительного табака, что вызывает опасения относительно доступа молодёжи и защиты общественного здоровья.
