В Сент-Люсии курение разрешено при соблюдении ряда нормативных требований. Продажа и покупка сигарет являются законными, включая онлайн-покупки и приобретение через торговые автоматы. Импорт сигарет для коммерческих целей также допускается при наличии импортной лицензии. На упаковках сигарет обязательно должны размещаться предупреждения о вреде курения для информирования потребителей о связанных с этим рисках. Минимальный возраст для покупки сигарет установлен на уровне 18 лет. В ряде общественных мест курение законодательно ограничено с целью снижения воздействия пассивного курения. Однако полного запрета на рекламу табачных изделий нет. В Сент-Люсии суммарная ставка налогообложения сигарет составляет 43%. Согласно данным за 2024 год, число людей, которые в настоящее время курят, составляло примерно 20 000 человек. Распространённость курения табака среди взрослых составляла 13,8% в целом, 2,9% среди женщин и 25% среди мужчин. Для сравнения, по данным 2017 года, ежедневное курение среди взрослых составляло 9,3% (16,2% мужчин и 2,5% женщин), что соответствовало примерно 13 200 ежедневным курящим. Курение табака вносит вклад в уровень смертности в Сент-Люсии: в 2021 году по оценкам, в результате курения табака произошло 76 смертей, из них 60 среди мужчин и 16 среди женщин. Смерти, связанные с курением, составили 3,95% всех случаев смерти в стране в 2021 году, включая 5,46% среди мужчин и 1,97% среди женщин.
