В Исландии электронные сигареты разрешены и регулируются в соответствии с определёнными правилами. Продажа электронных сигарет через Интернет легальна, также эти устройства доступны в обычных розничных магазинах. Однако все виды рекламы и продвижения электронных сигарет запрещены. Кроме того, перед выводом новых продуктов на рынок необходимо подавать уведомления, а упаковка должна содержать чёткие предупреждения о вреде для здоровья. Обязательны упаковка, защищённая от детей, и защита от вскрытия. Максимально допустимая концентрация никотина составляет 20 мг/мл, а объём резервуара ограничивается 2 мл или меньше. Ограничения по вкусовым добавкам отсутствуют, однако использование электронных сигарет законом ограничено в отдельных общественных местах. Согласно статистике, по состоянию на 2024 год в Исландии насчитывалось примерно 17 500 человек, которые пользуются электронными сигаретами, а распространённость потребления среди взрослых составляла 6,4%.
