В Гаити, по оценкам Всемирной организации здравоохранения (ВОЗ), распространённость курения табака среди людей в возрасте 15 лет и старше составила 7,3% в 2024 году. Эта цифра немного выше по сравнению с 6,9% в 2020 году, но ниже, чем 8,5% в 2019 году. В 2024 году доля курящих среди взрослых мужчин достигала 12,6%, тогда как среди женщин она составляла 2,3%. Такое гендерное различие в показателях распространённости курения сохранялось на протяжении нескольких лет: у мужчин уровень был стабильно выше — 11,2% в 2020 году и 13,5% в 2019 году. Количество людей, которые курят, в 2024 году оценивалось примерно в 578 000 человек, что больше по сравнению с 515 117 в 2020 году, но меньше, чем 631 176 в 2019 году. Для сравнения, в 2017 году ежедневная распространённость курения среди взрослых составляла 8,9%, при этом среди мужчин — 16,1%, а среди женщин — 2,1%. Что касается смертности, то в 2021 году на курение табака приходилось 2,24% всех случаев смерти в стране, что соответствовало 2 934 случаям, связанным с курением. Из них 2,82% составили мужчины и 1,59% — женщины. Эти данные подчёркивают сохраняющуюся проблему общественного здравоохранения, связанную с курением табака в Гаити, и необходимость продолжения системных усилий для сокращения числа курящих и связанных с этим случаев смертности.
