По данным на 2018 год, примерно 13 400 человек в Гамбии употребляли традиционные бездымные табачные изделия. Распространённость текущего употребления среди взрослых составила 1,1%, причём среди женщин этот показатель достиг 1,4%, а среди мужчин — 0,8%. Ежедневное употребление таких изделий оказалось немного ниже — 0,9% в целом, при этом 1,3% женщин и 0,4% мужчин сообщили об их ежедневном использовании. Несмотря на наличие потребителей, в Гамбии традиционные бездымные табачные изделия запрещены: их продажа и покупка являются противозаконными.
