В Дании использование электронных сигарет разрешено, их можно приобрести как в обычных магазинах, так и через интернет. Однако заявления о пользе для здоровья в отношении электронных сигарет не допускаются, а реклама регулируется. Акциз на электронные сигареты составляет до 10% от ставки на сигареты. Среди мер регулирования – обязательное уведомление о продукте, упаковка, защищённая от детей, защищённая от вскрытия, а также наличие предупреждений о вреде для здоровья на упаковке. Минимальный возраст для покупки установлен на уровне 18 лет. Введены ограничения на ассортимент вкусов, содержание никотина (не более 20 мг/мл), использование в общественных местах и объём резервуара (не более 2 мл). По состоянию на 2023 год в Дании насчитывалось примерно 145 400 человек, которые в настоящее время курят электронные сигареты. Распространённость текущего вейпинга среди взрослых составляла 3%, а доля взрослых, которые вейпят ежедневно, — 1,9%. Согласно опросу 2017 года, 16% взрослых когда-либо пробовали электронные сигареты. Данные другого опроса в Дании за 2017 год показали, что 79% респондентов считают электронные сигареты вредными или более вредными, чем сигареты; 13% считают их не вредными или менее вредными, чем сигареты, а 8% затруднились с ответом.
