В Таиланде в 2021 году число людей, использующих электронные системы доставки никотина (ЭСДН), составило 80,8 тысячи человек, что соответствует распространённости вейпинга среди взрослых 0,14% — 0,02% среди женщин и 0,26% среди мужчин. Тем не менее, страна придерживается жёсткой политики в отношении электронных сигарет и связанных с ними товаров, полностью запрещая их продажу и использование. В соответствии с действующими правилами запрещён как ввоз этих изделий для личного пользования и торговли, так и любая их реклама и продвижение. Такие строгие ограничения существенно затрудняют доступ к более безопасным никотиновым альтернативам, что увеличивает риск развития заболеваний, связанных с курением, и вынуждает тех, кто уже перешёл на вейпинг, возвращаться к курению.
