En Tailandia, se informó que el número de personas que vapean fue de 80.800 en 2021, lo que representa una prevalencia de vapeo del 0,14 % entre adultos—0,02 % en mujeres y 0,26 % en hombres. Sin embargo, el país mantiene una postura restrictiva respecto a los cigarrillos electrónicos y productos para vapear, prohibiendo la venta y el uso de estos artículos. Según la normativa vigente, está prohibida la importación de estos productos tanto para uso personal como comercial, así como cualquier tipo de publicidad y promoción. Estas estrictas regulaciones limitan el acceso a alternativas de nicotina menos dañinas, lo que aumenta el riesgo de que los fumadores desarrollen enfermedades relacionadas con el consumo de tabaco y obliga a quienes ya vapean a volver a fumar.
