Odpowiada to rozpowszechnieniu wapowania na poziomie 0,14% wśród dorosłych—0,02% wśród kobiet oraz 0,26% wśród mężczyzn. Kraj utrzymuje jednak restrykcyjne podejście wobec e-papierosów i produktów do wapowania, zakazując sprzedaży i używania tych artykułów. Zgodnie z obowiązującymi przepisami zarówno import tych produktów na użytek własny i w celach handlowych, jak i ich reklama oraz promocja w jakiejkolwiek formie, są zabronione. Tak rygorystyczne regulacje ograniczają dostęp do bezpieczniejszych alternatyw nikotynowych, zwiększając ryzyko rozwoju chorób związanych z paleniem u osób palących oraz zmuszając obecnych użytkowników e-papierosów do powrotu do tradycyjnych papierosów.
