W Kenii terapia zastępcza nikotynowa (NRT) jest dozwolona, a korzystanie z niej, sprzedaż oraz zakup produktów NRT bez recepty są legalne. Chociaż produkty te nie są regulowane jako leki, są dostępne w aptekach i znajdują się na krajowej liście leków podstawowych. Jednak rząd nie zapewnia finansowego wsparcia na pokrycie kosztów terapii NRT.
