W Uzbekistanie według danych Światowej Organizacji Zdrowia (WHO) rozpowszechnienie palenia tytoniu wśród osób dorosłych w wieku 15 lat i starszych wyniosło w 2022 roku 10,6%, co oznacza niewielki spadek w porównaniu do wskaźnika 12,3% odnotowanego w 2019 roku. Palenie tytoniu znacznie częściej dotyczyło mężczyzn – w 2022 roku palacze stanowili 20,4% dorosłych mężczyzn, podczas gdy wśród kobiet odsetek ten wynosił zaledwie 1%. Łącznie liczba palaczy w Uzbekistanie w 2022 roku wynosiła około 2 543 155 osób. Dla porównania, w 2017 roku odsetek dorosłych palących codziennie wynosił 9,7%, przy czym odsetek palących mężczyzn wynosił 18,9%, a kobiet – 1%. Jeśli chodzi o zgony związane z używaniem tytoniu, dane z 2021 roku wskazują, że 8,51% wszystkich zgonów w Uzbekistanie można było przypisać paleniu, przy czym wśród mężczyzn odsetek ten był wyższy (12,79%) niż wśród kobiet (3,38%).
