Hasta 2021, el consumo de tabaco tradicional sin humo en Níger era relativamente limitado. Alrededor del 0,9% de los adultos utilizaban estos productos a diario, con una prevalencia del 1,1% en hombres y del 0,7% en mujeres. Desde el punto de vista normativo, el tabaco tradicional sin humo está permitido y regulado como producto de tabaco en Níger, por lo que es legal venderlo, consumirlo y comprarlo en línea. Los empaques no están obligados a incluir advertencias sanitarias, lo que deja a los usuarios con menos información directa sobre los riesgos para la salud. Sin embargo, existe una restricción de edad, ya que la venta está limitada a personas de 18 años o más.
