En Macedonia, el 2 de mayo de 2019, el Presidente firmó un decreto que formaliza la adopción de la nueva Ley sobre el Tabaco, la cual incluye una categoría separada para los productos de tabaco calentado y los cigarrillos electrónicos, y exige advertencias sanitarias diferenciadas para esta categoría en comparación con los cigarrillos. No se requieren advertencias sanitarias en los dispositivos de cigarrillos electrónicos. Se define “fumar” como el uso de un producto de tabaco combustible. Se exigirá notificación previa a la comercialización para los productos de tabaco calentado y autorización previa a la comercialización para los cigarrillos electrónicos.
