En Kiribati, la prevalencia del consumo de tabaco entre adultos de 15 años o más en 2022 se estimó en 38,2%. Esta cifra refleja una prevalencia notablemente mayor en hombres, con un 51,6%, en comparación con las mujeres, que presentan un 25,7%. El número total de personas fumadoras fue de aproximadamente 29,394 en 2022. Como referencia, la prevalencia diaria de tabaquismo en adultos en 2017 fue de 40,5%, con un 51,4% en hombres y un 30,3% en mujeres.
