En Georgia, la prevalencia y el impacto del consumo de tabaco representan importantes desafíos para la salud pública. En 2022, se estimó que 903,297 personas de 15 años o más eran fumadoras. La prevalencia bruta de tabaquismo en hombres adultos fue de 54.7%, considerablemente más alta que el 7.1% registrado entre las mujeres, lo que resulta en una prevalencia general de tabaquismo en adultos del 29%. En 2021, la prevalencia diaria de fumadores adultos fue de 24.2%, con 7.7% en mujeres y 43.3% en hombres.
