En 2018, aproximadamente 41,700 personas en Camerún consumían productos tradicionales de tabaco sin humo, lo que representaba el 0,3% de la población adulta. La prevalencia entre las mujeres fue notablemente mayor, con un 9,3%, en comparación con el 2,6% entre los hombres. En cuanto a la regulación, el tabaco tradicional sin humo está permitido en Camerún y se regula como producto de tabaco, por lo que su venta y consumo son legales. No existen restricciones de edad mínima para la venta de estos productos; sin embargo, se exige la inclusión de advertencias sanitarias en el empaquetado.
