En Suiza, los cigarrillos electrónicos son legales y están regulados como productos de tabaco. Sin embargo, no se permite la venta de cigarrillos electrónicos por internet y está prohibido hacer declaraciones de salud que promuevan su uso. A diferencia de los cigarrillos tradicionales, los cigarrillos electrónicos en Suiza no están sujetos a un impuesto especial. Existe un marco regulatorio claro para estos productos: se exige que los envases sean a prueba de niños y manipulaciones, y deben incluir advertencias sanitarias visibles en todos los empaques. Aunque no hay restricciones respecto a los sabores, la concentración máxima de nicotina está limitada a 20 mg/ml y los depósitos no pueden superar los 2 ml. El uso de cigarrillos electrónicos en espacios públicos también está legalmente restringido. En 2022, Suiza contaba con aproximadamente 221,000 usuarios actuales de vapeadores. La prevalencia de uso actual de cigarrillos electrónicos en adultos se reportó en un 3%, con un 2,6% de mujeres y un 3,4% de hombres identificados como usuarios actuales. La prevalencia de vapeo diario en adultos se estimó en 1,7% de la población total, con un 1,7% en mujeres y un 1,8% en hombres.
