En 2019, Bután contaba con aproximadamente 55,600 consumidores actuales de tabaco sin humo tradicional, lo que correspondía a una tasa de prevalencia del 10% entre los adultos. La prevalencia era notablemente mayor en los hombres, con un 14.3%, en comparación con el 3.4% en las mujeres. Desde el punto de vista regulatorio, el tabaco sin humo tradicional está prohibido en Bután y la venta de estos productos es ilegal.
