En 2018, la prevalencia del consumo actual de tabaco tradicional sin humo entre adultos en Benín fue de 6,9 por ciento en hombres y 1 por ciento en mujeres. El tabaco tradicional sin humo está permitido legalmente en el país y se regula como un producto de tabaco. Es legal vender, consumir y comprar este producto. Aunque se comercializa, existe una prohibición total de la publicidad. Además, se exige que los envases lleven advertencias sanitarias y la edad mínima para la venta es de 18 años.
