La terapia de reemplazo de nicotina (TRN) está prohibida en Afganistán. Los productos de TRN no están regulados como medicamentos y su venta no es legal. El gobierno no brinda apoyo para estos productos, ya que no figuran en la lista de medicamentos esenciales del país. No está claro si se permite la importación de estos productos para uso personal, por lo que se recomienda conservar la receta médica y los comprobantes de compra.
