Data sourced: 2025.   Page updated: 2025-04-01

As of 2017, there were 222.9 thousand current e-cigarette users in Bangladesh, with an adult vaping prevalence of 0.2%, and 0.4% of adults having ever tried e-cigarette vaping. In January 2025, Bangladesh passed a strict law regulating e-cigarettes, significantly tightening the legal framework around their use and distribution. Under this law, all forms of e-cigarette advertising are banned. It is now illegal to import e-cigarettes or nicotine for both personal use and trade. Additionally, the sale of e-cigarette devices and nicotine is prohibited, and purchasing these products online is also banned.
