В Индии введены строгие ограничения в отношении электронных сигарет: их оборот официально запрещён. Закон устанавливает полный запрет на любую рекламу, связанную с этими продуктами. Продажа устройств для электронных сигарет и никотина как через интернет, так и в обычных магазинах является незаконной. Кроме того, запрещён ввоз электронных сигарет или никотина в страну с целью продажи, а также приобретение этих продуктов для личного использования — как онлайн, так и любым другим способом — также подпадает под действие запрета. Распространенность использование электронных сигарет среди взрослых составляет 0%.

  1. E-cigarette sales allowed except in 7 states - Bihar, Kerala, Karnataka, Punjab, Mizoram, Jamma & Kashmir where ENDS are banned. Delhi & Maharashtra were also considering a ban. However recent advice from the Government Ministry of Welfare & Families issued in August 2018, advised all states to prohibit sales, import and advertisement of ecigarettes.
