В Индии использование, продажа и покупка препаратов никотинозаместительной терапии (НЗТ) разрешены, и эти средства доступны в обычных магазинах. Продукты НЗТ регулируются как лекарственные препараты. Государство полностью финансирует затраты на НЗТ, поскольку они включены в перечень жизненно необходимых лекарств страны. Объём рынка НЗТ в Индии в 2023 году составил 33,09 миллиона долларов США.
