In Hungary, heated tobacco products (HTPs) are regulated as tobacco products and are allowed for sale and use. The number of current adult HTP users in Hungary was estimated to be around 203,000 individuals in 2023 which shows an increase from an estimated 98,000 people in 2020. This means that the current prevalence of HTP use among adults increased from 1.2% in 2020 to 2.5% in 2023. Likewise, adult daily use prevalence of HTPs increased from 0.9% in 2020 to 1.8% in 2023. In a survey in 2023, 3.4% of the respondents stated that they had tried HTP at least once.

Розничный объём рынков сигарет и HTP в отдельных странах

Продажи изделий из нагреваемого табака (HTP) значительно выросли с 2016 года в Азиатско-Тихоокеанском регионе, Западной и Восточной Европе. Во многих странах это совпало со снижением продаж сигарет. Данные о розничных продажах сигарет и HTP по объёму измеряются в штуках, однако одна единица HTP может не быть полноценной заменой для курящих людей, поскольку содержит меньшую дозу никотина, чем одна сигарета. Тем не менее показатели розничных продаж по объёму свидетельствуют о различных эффектах замещения в следующих странах:

  • примерно взаимозаменяемость HTP-стиков и сигарет в соотношении один к одному: Венгрия, Южная Корея, Италия, Германия.
  • продажи сигарет снижаются быстрее, чем растут продажи HTP: Словакия, Чешская Республика, Россия, Япония, Греция.
  • продажи сигарет снижаются медленнее, чем растут продажи HTP: Казахстан, Литва, Португалия.
