В Белизе курение разрешено с определёнными ограничениями. Продажа сигарет является легальной, также разрешена их покупка через интернет. Ввоз для личного использования допускается с ограничениями, а импорт для коммерческих целей возможен при наличии импортной лицензии. Всеобъемлющего запрета на рекламу курения в Белизе нет. Минимальный возраст для покупки сигарет не установлен. Однако на упаковке сигарет обязательно размещаются предупреждения о вреде для здоровья, а сигареты облагаются совокупным налогом в размере 34%. В 2024 году в Белизе насчитывалось примерно 25 000 взрослых, которые курят сейчас, что соответствовало доле в 8,5% среди взрослого населения. Среди мужчин распространённость курения составляла 15%, среди женщин — 2,1%. По данным за 2017 год, ежедневное курение среди взрослых отмечалось у 16,4% мужчин и 2,1% женщин. Согласно статистике смертности, в 2021 году употребление табака стало причиной 106 смертей (83 мужчины и 23 женщины). Это означает, что на курение приходилось 4,5% всех случаев смерти в стране за 2021 год: 5,9% среди мужчин и 2,4% среди женщин.
