В Объединённых Арабских Эмиратах по состоянию на 2024 год распространённость употребления табака среди взрослых в возрасте 15 лет и старше составила 11,1%. При этом по данным на тот же год наблюдается значительная разница в зависимости от пола: среди мужчин данный показатель достиг 15,5%, а среди женщин — 2,6%. Эти данные свидетельствуют о снижении по сравнению с показателями за 2019 год, когда общая распространённость употребления табака составляла 14,7%, среди мужчин — 29%, среди женщин — 0,5%. По количеству употребляющих табачные изделия в 2024 году их насчитывалось около одного миллиона, что меньше, чем 1,2 миллиона в 2019 году. Распространённость ежедневного употребления табака среди взрослых по оценкам 2018 года составляла 8%, в том числе 13,9% среди мужчин и 2% среди женщин. Влияние употребления табака на общественное здоровье отражают данные о смертности за 2021 год, когда было зарегистрировано 1693 смерти, связанные с употреблением табака, что составило 8,45% от всех случаев смерти в стране. Распределение по полу при этом было также неравномерным: 1479 смертей среди мужчин (10,23% всех смертей среди мужчин) и 214 среди женщин (3,86% всех смертей среди женщин). Представленные сведения дают подробную картину распространённости употребления табачных изделий и связанных с ними случаев смертности в Объединённых Арабских Эмиратах, подчёркивая сохраняющиеся вызовы для системы общественного здравоохранения, связанные с этой проблемой.
