По состоянию на 2024 год общее число людей, которые курят в Албании, оценивалось в 493 000, при распространённости курения среди взрослых в 21,5%. Среди взрослых женщин уровень курения составлял 6,6%, среди взрослых мужчин — 37,1%. Количество ежедневных курящих оценивалось в 592 тысячи, и распространённость ежедневного курения среди взрослых достигала 23%. Ежедневно курят чаще мужчины (41%), чем женщины (5,6%). Согласно данным за 2021 год, курение было причиной примерно 4 700 смертей в Албании ежегодно, из которых 3,7 тысячи — среди мужчин и 1 тысяча — среди женщин. Таким образом, курение составляло 15,75% всех ежегодных смертей, включая 22,16% мужских смертей и 7,78% женских. Курение в Албании разрешено законом и регулируется как табачная продукция. Использование и продажа сигарет допускаются, в том числе при покупке через интернет, однако покупка сигарет через торговые автоматы запрещена. Минимальный возраст для приобретения сигарет составляет 18 лет. Продажа и импорт сигарет для личного пользования и коммерческой торговли разрешены с определёнными ограничениями. Кроме того, на упаковке сигарет обязательно размещаются предупреждения о вреде для здоровья. Существует запрет на любую форму рекламы сигарет, а курение регулируется законом в общественных местах. В Албании на сигареты установлен совокупный налог в размере 66,67%.
