W Czadzie obserwuje się wyraźne tendencje w zakresie palenia tytoniu wśród osób dorosłych w wieku 15 lat i więcej. Według szacunków na 2022 rok, częstość palenia tytoniu wśród mężczyzn wynosiła 12,3%, podczas gdy wśród kobiet była znacznie niższa i wynosiła 1,4%. Ogólna częstość palenia tytoniu wśród dorosłych wyniosła w tym samym roku 6,8%. Dla porównania, w 2020 roku odsetek palących wśród mężczyzn wynosił 11,1%, a wśród kobiet 1,4%, co dawało ogólny wskaźnik na poziomie 6,2%.
