E-papierosy są legalne na Słowacji i podlegają regulacjom jako wyroby tytoniowe. Konsumenci mogą kupować e-papierosy zarówno przez internet, jak i w tradycyjnych punktach sprzedaży detalicznej. System regulacyjny dotyczący wapowania w kraju jest uporządkowany. W związku z tym wymagane są zgłoszenia nowych produktów, opakowania zabezpieczone przed dziećmi i przed manipulacją oraz ostrzeżenia zdrowotne na opakowaniach e-papierosów. Zabronione jest umieszczanie oświadczeń zdrowotnych dotyczących ich stosowania. Dodatkowo sprzedaż dozwolona jest wyłącznie osobom powyżej 18. roku życia, a maksymalne stężenie nikotyny wynosi 20 mg/ml. Choć nie obowiązują zakazy dotyczące smaków, korzystanie z e-papierosów w miejscach publicznych jest ograniczone. Według danych z 2023 roku na Słowacji było około 136 700 aktualnych użytkowników e-papierosów. Odsetek dorosłych obecnie używających e-papierosów wynosił 3%, a odsetek dorosłych codziennie korzystających z e-papierosów szacowano na 1,7%. W 2017 roku opinia publiczna na temat e-papierosów pokazała, że 36% osób uważało, iż są one mniej szkodliwe niż tradycyjne papierosy, 48% uważało je za równie lub bardziej szkodliwe, a 16% nie miało na ten temat zdania.
