W Sierra Leone nie istnieje odrębne prawo dotyczące podgrzewanych wyrobów tytoniowych (HTP), jednak produkty te są klasyfikowane i regulowane jako wyroby tytoniowe. Zgodnie z obowiązującymi przepisami, wyroby tytoniowe mogą być importowane i sprzedawane na podstawie oficjalnej licencji, chociaż kwestia przywozu na użytek własny nie została jednoznacznie uregulowana. Opakowania muszą zawierać ostrzeżenia zdrowotne, a minimalny wiek uprawniający do zakupu wynosi 18 lat. Palenie tych wyrobów jest zabronione w miejscach publicznych, a ich reklama jest zakazana.
