W Gujanie dane z 2022 roku wskazują, że rozpowszechnienie palenia tytoniu wśród dorosłych w wieku 15 lat i starszych wyniosło 10,5%. Odsetek ten był zdecydowanie wyższy wśród mężczyzn i wynosił 19,3%, podczas gdy wśród kobiet było to 2,2%. Szacuje się, że liczba palaczy w Gujanie wynosiła 59 148 osób. Jest to spadek w porównaniu z 2020 rokiem, kiedy odnotowano 65 913 palaczy. W 2017 roku rozpowszechnienie codziennego palenia tytoniu wśród dorosłych wynosiło 10,8%, przy czym wśród mężczyzn było to 18,8%, a wśród kobiet 2,2%.
