Hasta 2008, había aproximadamente 84,300 consumidores actuales de tabaco tradicional sin humo en Chad. La prevalencia general de consumo actual de estos productos entre adultos era del 1.2 por ciento, con un 1.9 por ciento entre los hombres y un 0.4 por ciento entre las mujeres. El tabaco tradicional sin humo está permitido y regulado como producto de tabaco en Chad; su venta y consumo son legales. Sin embargo, no está permitido comprar tabaco tradicional sin humo por internet. Se exige que los envases incluyan advertencias sanitarias, y la venta está restringida a personas mayores de 18 años.
