La Ley de Control del Tabaco de la Asamblea Nacional de 2010 prohíbe la venta, importación o fabricación de objetos que imiten productos de tabaco, lo que incluye los cigarrillos electrónicos. Sin embargo, se reporta la existencia de tiendas de vapeo en las principales ciudades, aunque estas pueden estar sujetas a acciones de control que pueden resultar en enjuiciamientos, elevados costos legales, multas e incluso penas de prisión.
