Los cigarrillos electrónicos están permitidos legalmente en Chipre. No obstante, existen diversas medidas regulatorias para su uso. Su venta y consumo están autorizados, pero está prohibida su adquisición en línea o a través de máquinas expendedoras. La publicidad está sujeta a ciertas restricciones. Es obligatorio notificar la introducción de nuevos productos, y todos deben contar con envases a prueba de niños y de manipulaciones, además de advertencias sanitarias en el empaquetado. La edad mínima para comprar estos productos es de 18 años. Asimismo, se aplican límites al contenido de nicotina, que no debe superar los 20 mg/mL, y al tamaño del depósito, que debe ser de 2 mL o menos. También hay restricciones sobre la variedad de sabores, y su uso en lugares públicos está limitado. En 2023, había aproximadamente 40,700 personas usuarias de cigarrillos electrónicos en Chipre. La prevalencia del uso actual de cigarrillos electrónicos entre adultos fue del 4%, y la prevalencia diaria, del 2.5%. Según datos de 2017, el 21% de los adultos indicó haber probado alguna vez los cigarrillos electrónicos. Una encuesta realizada en el país en 2017 acerca de la percepción de daños mostró que el 76% de los adultos consideraba que los cigarrillos electrónicos eran perjudiciales o más perjudiciales que los cigarrillos tradicionales, el 11% pensaba que no eran dañinos o que eran menos dañinos que los cigarrillos, y el 13% no sabía.
