En Macedonia, una nueva ley sobre el tabaco introduce una categoría separada para los productos de tabaco calentado. El 2 de mayo de 2019, el presidente firmó un decreto que formaliza la adopción de la nueva Ley sobre el Tabaco. La ley establece una categoría específica para los productos de tabaco calentado y los cigarrillos electrónicos, y exige advertencias sanitarias diferentes para esta categoría en comparación con los cigarrillos. No se requieren advertencias sanitarias en los dispositivos. Se define “fumar” como el uso de un producto de tabaco combustible. Será obligatorio notificar previamente la comercialización de productos de tabaco calentado y obtener la aprobación previa a la comercialización de cigarrillos electrónicos.
