В Камбодже распространённость курения табака среди взрослых остаётся серьёзной проблемой общественного здравоохранения. По оценкам Всемирной организации здравоохранения (ВОЗ) за 2024 год, текущий уровень распространённости курения среди взрослого населения в возрасте 15 лет и старше составляет 14,1%. При этом среди мужчин этот показатель составляет 27,3%, а среди женщин — 1,8%. Это свидетельствует о небольшом снижении среди мужчин по сравнению с 28,0% в 2020 году и более заметном снижении относительно 32,3% в 2019 году. Общее число взрослых, которые курят табак в 2024 году, составляет примерно 1,7 миллиона человек, что ниже по сравнению с 1,9 миллиона в 2019 году. В 2017 году ежедневно курили 15,5% взрослых, среди мужчин — 30,4%, среди женщин — 1,9%. Влияние курения на здоровье в Камбодже существенно: в 2021 году на курение табака приходилось 13,43% всех случаев смерти, в том числе 20,01% всех мужских смертей и 6,23% всех женских. В абсолютном выражении в 2021 году общее число смертей, связанных с курением, составило 17 306, включая 13 474 смерти среди мужчин и 3 832 среди женщин. Эти данные подчёркивают продолжающуюся проблему для Камбоджи в снижении распространённости курения табака и связанных с ним негативных последствий для здоровья.
