В Боливии по состоянию на 2024 год распространённость курения табака среди взрослых в возрасте 15 лет и старше составила 12,2%, при этом отмечается значительный гендерный дисбаланс: 20,5% мужчин и 4,1% женщин курят. Это свидетельствует о незначительном снижении по сравнению с данными 2020 года, когда общий показатель составлял 13,2%, среди мужчин — 21,4%, среди женщин — 5%. Общее количество курящих в Боливии в 2024 году оценивалось примерно в 1 миллион человек. Для сравнения: в 2015 году ежедневная распространённость курения среди взрослых составляла 14,8% — 21,9% среди мужчин и 9,1% среди женщин. Что касается смертности, связанной с курением, данные за 2021 год показывают, что на курение приходилось 2,55% всех случаев смерти в стране, среди мужчин — 3,32%, среди женщин — 1,56%. Общее количество смертей, связанных с курением, в 2021 году составило 3 090 случаев, в том числе 2 256 мужчин и 834 женщины. Эти статистические данные указывают на тенденцию к снижению уровня курения и связанной с ним смертности с 2016 года, когда курение было причиной 6,83% всех случаев смерти в стране.
