В Республике Ирландия действует Директива ЕС о табачных продуктах (TPD) (2014). Законодательство, касающееся электронных сигарет, представлено постановлением № 271 от 2016 года «Положения Европейского Союза о производстве, представлении и продаже табачных и сопутствующих продуктов» 2016 года. Электронные сигареты, содержащие никотин, регулируются как табачные изделия. Вейпинг официально не запрещён в общественных местах, однако во многих заведениях действуют собственные запреты на вейпинг. Внутренняя реклама разрешена в рамках законодательства ЕС, а трансграничные продажи остаются законными при условии, что продавец зарегистрирован в государственных органах.
