Na mocy Dekretu Prezydenckiego nr 2149 z dnia 24 lutego 2020 roku oficjalnie zakazano importu oraz sprzedaży nowatorskich wyrobów tytoniowych w celach handlowych. Jednakże import na użytek własny e-papierosów pozostaje legalny, co oznacza, że osoby prywatne mogą posiadać i używać te produkty, choć ich używanie w miejscach publicznych jest zabronione. Ponadto obowiązuje zakaz reklamowania tych produktów. Według statystyk, w 2022 roku odsetek dorosłych użytkowników e-papierosów w Turcji wynosił szacunkowo 0,4%, co wskazuje, że rozpowszechnienie ich używania wśród dorosłej populacji kraju jest stosunkowo niskie.
