Podgrzewane wyroby tytoniowe (HTP) nie są objęte zakazem prawnym w Egipcie. Obowiązują jednak określone regulacje dotyczące tych produktów: producenci muszą umieszczać ostrzeżenie zdrowotne na opakowaniu, minimalny wiek nabywcy to 18 lat, a zawartość nikotyny w suchym wyrobie nie może przekraczać 3,5%. Ogólna stawka podatku wynosi 1 400 EGP (około 43 EUR) za kilogram tytoniu. Ponadto zakazane jest reklamowanie tych produktów w jakiejkolwiek formie.
