W maju 2019 roku zakaz sprzedaży snusu w Szwajcarii został zniesiony przez wydział prawa publicznego w wyniku złożonego odwołania. Wcześniej sprzedaż tytoniu do stosowania doustnego w postaci proszku lub drobnych cząstek, w tym snusu, była nielegalna.
