Launch of Burning Issues: The Global State of Tobacco Harm Reduction 2020
November 2020 - London - UK, Lilongwe - Malawi

On Wednesday 4th November 2020, Knowledge•Action•Change launched Burning Issues: The Global State of Tobacco Harm Reduction (GSTHR) 2020. Two years since the publication of the first edition of the GSTHR, No Fire, No Smoke: The Global State of Tobacco Harm Reduction 2018, what has changed in global tobacco and public health policy in relation to safer nicotine products? And what should happen next?

The launch was live-streamed from London, UK, and co-hosted by THR Malawi in Lilongwe, Malawi, on our dedicated events platform.

GSTHR Executive Editor Harry Shapiro and Project Director Professor Gerry Stimson introduced the report’s findings and were joined live by experts from around the world, including Professor David Nutt, Fiona Patten MP, Dr Marina Foltea, Chimwemwe Ngoma, Martin Cullip, Dom Garrett, Jena Fetalino, Mwawi N'goma, Samrat Chowdhery.
