Launch of Burning Issues: The Global State of Tobacco Harm Reduction 2020

The launch of ‘Burning issues’, the second edition of the Global State of Tobacco Harm Reduction (GSTHR) 2020 report was broadcast live to a worldwide audience with invited guest speakers from the US, UK, Australia, India, the Philippines, Switzerland and Poland, on 4th November 2020.

In parallel, a physical meeting was held in Lilongwe, in partnership with the consumer advocacy organisation - THR Malawi.

Over the three sessions, the speakers discussed the context and importance of tobacco harm reduction for global health. They highlighted the current challenges for tobacco harm reduction, especially in low- and middle-income economies, followed by the virtual launch of the GSTHR report.
