En Mauricio, la terapia de reemplazo de nicotina (TRN) está permitida y es legal usar, vender y comprar productos de TRN sin necesidad de receta médica. Aunque estos productos no están regulados como medicamentos, se encuentran disponibles en las farmacias. Si bien la TRN no está incluida en la lista nacional de medicamentos esenciales, el gobierno cubre el costo total de la TRN mediante financiamiento público.
