East Timor, also known as Timor Leste, has banned e-cigarettes and vaping products. Under these regulations, the importation, sale, online purchase, use, marketing, and all forms of advertising of these products are prohibited in the country. These restrictive regulations put smokers, who are unable to quit, at greater risk of developing smoking-related diseases by limiting their opportunity to switch to less harmful nicotine alternatives.
